Well, that didn't take long. Literally hours after being formally invited to testify before Congress about Toyota's gas pedal recall, company president Akio Toyoda said he'll be there.
In a very brief statement released Friday morning, Japan time, Toyoda said he "looks forward to speaking directly with Congress and the American people." Full press release (remember, we said "brief") here.
